About Toby
What's up! My name's Toby. I'm a musician of 13 years and a producer of 8 years. I'm currently doing music full time as my sole source of income. I've taught free and paid lessons to dozens of people over the last 5 years, and I'm honestly really good at teaching it! I work in Ableton, so that's what I'd be teaching you to use. I can offer a free copy of the program to anyone who's in need. I'm also a certified ESL teacher who's worked numerous teaching jobs in the last three years so I'm very experienced on the subject!

My approach to teaching music is all about figuring out what you want to learn and helping you get there. I believe in a very modular style of instruction, where your personal goals are prioritized. Making music is all about having fun, so I want to focus on the things you would enjoy learning. The beauty of music production to me is that there are truly infinite possibilities. I produce all kinds of music so whatever you want to learn I'll be there to teach it to ya! I can absolutely and honestly promise you that you will learn an enormous amount very quickly while studying with me. I prioritize BIPOC and LGBTQ+ students, but I make room for anyone who's passionate about learning production. If you're interested, hit me up!
