About Derek
I earned a bachelor’s degree in social and criminal justice before pursuing my true passion. I spent the past decade public speaking, preparing workshops for adolescent children and their parents, hoping that they could learn from my experiences and my mistakes and prepare them for the journey ahead. I earned my masters degree in English with a focus on creative writing, in order to satisfy my lifelong passion to write.
