About Lucia
I am a professional translator, currently working for Netflix as a subtitle creator. I'm studying Linguistic Mediation and I have acquired two language certifications that attest my level: in particular, I am in possession of the Cambridge C2 level - CPE certificate - and, in 2015, I took the TOEFL test with a score of 110/120. Professionally, I have been working as a freelance translator for over three years and in the last year I have prepared two students for the Pearson B2 and Cambridge C1 exams.

I start by by evaluating the student's initial level to see what points need to be clarified and what grammatical gaps we need to fill. I provide a general written evaluation test and a short conversation to assess a level in the four skills (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing). From this moment, I structure the lessons in a highly personalized manner, depending on the student's goals and starting level. Generally, a lesson includes a part in which the grammar is reviewed on a theoretical and practical level, a part of Listening or Speaking. For students of primary and secondary schools, I also offer the possibility of correcting homework together and following a program parallel to the one already started in class by the student. For students who wish to prepare for a language exam (Cambridge, TOEFL, Pearson, Trinity), in addition to resuming and deepening their basic knowledge of English, we will do a path aimed at overcoming and understanding the various parts of the tests with partial exercises and total exam simulations, with the help of specific textbooks for that type of exam.
