About Dale
My tutoring experience in the Sacramento City College Writing Center encompassed coursework from nearly every department on a busy, diverse and cosmpolitan campus. I directly helped numerous students earn the highest possible grades and was pleased many times to see my tutees advance to higher educational levels or graduate into satisfying careers.
I was also always ready to meet privately with students looking for more time or more in-depth discussion, whether researching, composing, or revising their work.
I also spent significant time preparing educational materials devoted to skills acquisition and became proficient at presenting these materials in small group settings.
My expertise is hard-won and solid.

I have seen just about every permutation of English pedagogy and been able to help students from all sorts of backgrounds to understand assignments and produce essays and academic writing closely aligned with the expectations of instructors. Have worked in school settings and privately with equal comfort.
My special ability is to quickly figure out what is needed and what the student needs to do to most efficiently produce a passing paper.
My methodology is tested by rigorous use in very demanding circumstances, but establishing a comfortable relationship with students and instructors is the place to begin.
