I strongly recommend Andy as a teacher and mentor. Andy is passionate and intelligent. His office is always open for questions, and he spent hours after class working with students. He throws himself into fieldwork and research with so much dedication and excitement, and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. I enjoyed learning from Andy so much that I selected him as both my academic advisor and the head of my honors' advisory committee, and returned post-graduation to continue working with him.
