About Hugo
Mathematics has always been a dominant part of my life. I've always had a natural connection with solving algebraic calculus problems and quickly completing advanced arithmetic equations as part of my work and school life. I confidently believe in my capability to effectively pass on the efficient techniques and tricks to transform mathematics from a difficult speed bump in the classroom to a something much easily manageable in any assessment environment :)
I have an A-grade in GCSE Maths and have learned a lot more Mathematics since taking that test and as a result feel ready to tutor anyone to reach their aspired grade!
I also have A grades in my AS-level Maths (C1, C2, S1) to which I am happy to teach students as well
(Note: this is my first time tutoring online - everyone has to start somewhere! - However I've tutored friends and family in the past, and hope this ability to articulate and communicate information transfers well to online tutoring)

I believe myself to be very meticulous in my method. I like to ensure I go over every appropriate step to reach the desired result to ensure that the student has understood every stage from problem to solution. It is easy for Mathematics experts to lose appreciation for the small interim stages when the problems grow so easy that they become automatic, but I like to remain concentrate on every part of the process. However, if I sense that the student does not need meticulous demonstration of each and every step, I am happy to adapt and move at a much faster pace appropriate to the student
