About Nkechi
Hello! I'm Helen, a published author and passionate English tutor who enjoys helping children and beginner learners build confidence in English.
For over a year, I've taught children between the ages of 3 and 9, creating a calm, supportive, and interactive learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and grow. My lessons focus on building strong foundations in speaking, reading, writing, grammar, and pronunciation through patience, repetition, and engaging activities.
As a writer and published author, I have a genuine love for language, storytelling, and communication. I bring that same enthusiasm into every lesson, making learning enjoyable while helping students develop the confidence to express themselves clearly in English.

I believe that learning English should be fun, engaging, and encouraging. My teaching style is calm, patient, and learner-focused, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning with confidence.
One of the techniques I value most is repetition. I encourage students to repeat new words, sounds, and sentences aloud because it strengthens pronunciation, improves retention, and helps build confidence in using English naturally. I also incorporate guided practice, interactive activities, and positive reinforcement to keep every lesson enjoyable and meaningful.
Each lesson begins with a short review of previous learning before introducing new vocabulary or grammar in a simple, easy-to-understand way. Students then practice through reading, speaking, pronunciation, and engaging activities, followed by a quick recap to reinforce what they've learned.
My lessons are ideal for children and beginner English learners who want to improve their speaking, reading, grammar, pronunciation, and overall communication skills.
