About Leonardo
I’m a Senior Technical Director and pipeline developer with more than 20 years of experience in the visual effects and animation industry.
Throughout my career I’ve worked in Italy, France, Belgium, and the UK, contributing to VFX, animation, procedural workflows, automation systems, and production pipeline development across multiple studios and projects.
Over the years I’ve developed production tools, automation systems, and workflow solutions for Maya, Houdini, Blender, and mixed studio environments.
In recent years I’ve specialised in integrating AI-assisted technologies into real production workflows, combining Python, automation, computer vision, local AI systems, and technical pipeline development.
My background combines software development, production problem solving, procedural workflows, and technical art, allowing me to teach AI and automation from a practical industry perspective rather than a purely academic one.

This course focuses on practical AI-assisted workflows and automation systems for VFX, animation, creative production, and technical art.
Rather than focusing on Generative AI image creation alone, the course explores how AI technologies can be integrated into real production environments to automate tasks, improve workflows, accelerate repetitive processes, and support technical artists and developers.
Lessons are highly practical and adapted to the student’s goals and technical level.

Requirements
This course is designed for artists, technical artists, developers, and creative professionals interested in AI-assisted workflows, automation, and production pipelines.
Students are expected to have:
Basic computer literacy
Interest in technical and creative workflows
Curiosity towards automation, AI tools, and production systems
A reasonably modern computer for practical exercises (a dedicated GPU is recommended for some local AI workflows)
Useful but optional experience:
Basic familiarity with Maya, Houdini, Blender, or other 3D software
Basic Python or scripting knowledge
Interest in VFX, animation, procedural workflows, technical art, or pipeline development
Please note:
