About Yasundara
I am a passionate and dedicated educator with over 10 years of experience teaching primary-aged children. As a graduate in Early Childhood Education with AMI Montessori and Art Teaching Diplomas, I bring creativity, structure, and warmth to every lesson. My approach nurtures confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love for learning. I take pride in creating a supportive environment where every child feels valued and capable of success. Based in New Lynn, Auckland, I’m committed to helping young learners reach their fullest potential through engaging and personalized lessons.

Every child learns differently, and I believe in teaching that celebrates those differences! My lessons are carefully designed to suit each child’s unique strengths, interests, and learning pace. I make learning fun and meaningful through interactive, hands-on activities that build confidence and curiosity. I teach children aged 4 to 10 years (Pre-Primary to Year 5/Grade 5, NZ curriculum) in subjects such as English with phonetic reading, Math, and Art. Each lesson runs for about one hour, offering a balanced mix of creativity, structured learning, and skill development. I hold a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, an AMI Montessori Diploma, and an Art Teaching Diploma, and I bring over 10 years of experience teaching in primary grades. My goal is to create a warm, supportive learning environment where children feel inspired to learn and proud of their progress.
