I have 9 years' experience working in education and 6 years of teaching experience. I have taught Functional Skills English and Maths, ESOL and ICT, as well as tutoring students to achieve IELTS and GCSE English.
I have a BA (Hons) 2:1 in English Language and Literature from the University of Leeds and Professional Graduate Diploma in Education.

I give lessons to international students who would like to improve their English to academic standards, as well as anyone who would like to improve their English skills. I work with all levels of proficiency.
My lessons are structured around English in context and key areas such as vocabulary, grammar and comprehension. The student and their personal goals are at the centre of my teaching.
My teaching is individualised and thorough, ensuring my students understand the topic and feel confident with their learning. I have a lot of empathy for students and see learning as a personal journey as well as a way to gain skills, qualifications and fulfil ambitions. Learning should be enjoyable and not stressful, so while I ensure all my lessons are taught to the highest standard, I want learners to have fun while they broaden their horizons with new knowledge.
