About Ellie
Despite having enjoyed two years in the teaching profession, I have decided to change career. I still have a passion for education and want to still be able to offer my expertise and, as such, I have decided to tutor alongside completing my masters degree (2024-2026).
I believe I am a confident and approachable tutor who knows the importance of listening to concerns and giving individuals time to process learning. The theoretical knowledge I have gained from my educational qualifications has vastly improved the way in which I deliver my teaching content and ensures for a productive and engaging lesson.
I am from the highlands in Scotland and have grown up surrounded by some fantastic landscapes. I believe my passion for geography becomes evident during my lessons.

As I achieved a distinction in my Postgraduate Certificate of Education and achieved Qualified Teacher Status. I have the theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of how to keep lessons engaging and productive.
Having taught at a co-educational secondary day and boarding school, I have experience delivering a wide range of lesson activities. The class sizes were usually fairly small and therefore, I have experience delivering one-to-one feedback and spending considerable time walking pupils through each problem or issue they may have.
I have marked GCSE and A Level answers and essays to examination boards mark schemes. I can also offer advice and help on A Level Coursework Projects.
