About Rebecca
I am a qualified occupational therapist from Cape Town. I work with children and adults with various physical and intellectual conditions to assist them in becoming as independent as possible in their daily lives (rehabilitation). This includes supporting young children's growth, development, and learning so that they are able to reach their full potential and assisting individuals in adapting to their home or work environments after experiencing illness or injury. I enjoy working with others and have a calm and patient manner. I consider myself to be well-organized, responsible and a keen learner.
Outside of work: I have a love for the outdoors and being active. I enjoy running, hiking, and walking my dog in the forest or on the beach.

The focus of each lesson will be guided by either areas of difficulty to ensure a good foundation of knowledge, or topics/assignments currently being covered in the syllabus. Students will be encouraged to actively engage in their work by identifying areas where they lack confidence, require reassurance or need additional support, thus encouraging self-directed learning. I will then work alongside the student to tackle challenging topics to ensure a good understanding of the concepts.
I teach in English. Other subjects include Maths, Life Sciences and Consumer Studies.
