About Emily
Hi, I’m Emily. I’m a qualified primary school teacher with six years of teaching experience, and I love working with children and helping them feel confident in their learning. I’ve taught children aged 4–13, including children with special educational needs, and I always try to make lessons calm, positive and encouraging. I believe everyone learns best when they feel supported and comfortable asking questions. Outside of teaching, I enjoy playing the piano and guitar and playing rugby, and I like bringing creativity, energy and fun into my lessons. I teach because I genuinely enjoy helping children learn, grow and believe in themselves.

My tutoring approach is calm, supportive and encouraging, with a strong focus on helping children feel confident and capable in their learning. I take time to understand each child’s strengths and areas for development, and I use a range of evidence-based teaching strategies including clear modelling, guided practice, repetition, and age-appropriate resources to ensure concepts are fully understood. Lessons usually last 30–45 minutes, depending on the child’s age and attention span, and are carefully structured while remaining flexible to suit individual needs. I am a fully qualified primary school teacher with experience teaching numeracy, literacy and Irish language across the primary years. My lessons are suitable for primary-aged children who need extra support, confidence-building, or extension, and can be delivered online or in person.
