Hi, I am Mrs Gheewala, a fully qualified teacher BEd in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and hold an Enhanced DBS, enabling me to work safely with children.
Since 2013, I have gained extensive experience working across a wide range of schools in Leicester, both within the city and the county. I have also served as Head of the Primary Phase at an independent school, where I played a key role in driving the school’s development and supporting young learners to thrive and achieve their potential.
I have over 10 years of experience teaching in a variety of primary schools across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Over the years, I have specialised in key areas including Phonics, SATs preparation, Mathematics, and English comprehension. I have a wealth of knowledge of the curriculum requirements at these stages including how to effectively prepare students for end of year exams and SATs. I offer online daytime and after-school tutoring to students in Key Stage 1 & 2 in English (reading comprehension and fluency, grammar/spelling help, writing support) and Maths (all topics in KS1 & KS2)
Another area of my expertise is helping students to catch up with any lost learning. I take the time to assess the gaps in student learning through assessment and then create a tailored road map to work with them to address these gaps in meaningful, fun and interactive ways.
I am very good at building positive working relationships with my students and seeing them make progress, build confidence in themselves and their abilities. I believe learning should be enjoyable and fun and I try and make all my lessons interesting and memorable to help my students grow in their learning.
I plan and adapt my lessons carefully to make them personal, accessible, fun and relevant for every student I work with.
I offer online lessons (1 hour) and have good availability- daytime and evening.
