About Dean
I have a passion for knowing how things work; much to the frustration of my parents when I was a child as I was always taking things apart. Natural curiosity is something to be encouraged and celebrated. Only by truly understanding fundamental ideas, can students apply this to other scenarios and problems. My aim is to help students grasp the fundamentals of the sciences and then using this knowledge, solving unfamiliar problems by applying the learned knowledge.

I have made the science of learning my career constant. How we learn plays a huge role in how deeply we learn and can apply our knowledge to unfamiliar problems. Mastering the fundamental concepts of any subject is the key to unlocking the breadth and depth of your learning. Lessons typically last between 45-60 minutes. I have been a science teacher for 22 years and have been leading science faculties for the last 10 years and have experience of tutoring at GCSE and A level.
