About Jan
I am a qualified Computer Science teacher with a BSc in Computer Science, a PGCE in Computing and Qualified Teacher Status. I currently teach in secondary education across KS3, GCSE and A level. I enjoy helping students understand challenging concepts through clear explanations, practical programming activities and structured exam preparation. My aim is to build each student’s confidence, strengthen their problem-solving skills and help them make measurable progress in a supportive and encouraging learning environment.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s ability, goals and exam board. I teach Computer Science from KS3 through GCSE and A level, covering programming, algorithms, data representation, networks, databases and cybersecurity. Lessons combine clear explanations, worked examples, guided practice and exam-style questions. I also provide constructive feedback, identify gaps in knowledge and help students develop confidence, problem-solving skills and effective examination techniques.
