About Aren
I am a qualified Senior Civil Engineering Technician with industry experience gained through the apprenticeship route. I currently work in civil engineering, where I regularly use AutoCAD and Civil 3D on real projects. Alongside my technical work, I have experience mentoring apprentices and helping them progress to technician level.
I enjoy teaching because I understand the challenges of learning these skills from scratch, and I aim to make the process clear, practical, and relevant to real industry work. My goal is to help students build confidence and develop skills that will benefit them in both their studies and careers.

As someone who has progressed through the apprenticeship route and is now a qualified Senior Civil Engineering Technician, I bring both academic knowledge and real industry experience to my lessons. Throughout my journey, I have worked with a wide range of teachers and training styles, which has helped me understand what makes learning effective and engaging.
I also have experience mentoring and teaching apprentices in the workplace, supporting them in developing their skills and progressing towards technician level. I specialise in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, focusing on practical, real-world applications used in industry.
My teaching style is clear and structured, whether you are a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills. I aim to build confidence, improve efficiency, and help you understand not just how to use the software, but how it is applied in real engineering projects.
