About Johurul

I love teaching maths. I can teach that to any students of different abilities. All students learn at different levels and I consider that in my planning to support and challenge where needed. It gives me joy to see the expression learners make when they have managed to grasp a complicated topic and apply it to questions which are related to real life or require problem-solving strategy.

About the lesson

I work on building a positive learning environment for the learner. Maths is a subject which, if not taught properly, can make a child hate the subject and build a phobia of the subject. The approach I take is building upon knowledge they have developed at an early stage of their life and linking topics to prior learning and relating it to real life if possible. I am very passionate about the subject I teach and I try to inspire the learner to continue and explore the subject beyond GCSE and A level. The learner needs to feel a sense of accomplishment and feel they are confident in what they have done in a very short space.
