About Theo
I am experienced in teaching people (individually and in groups) of various ages, from 13 year olds to A Level students and Classics teachers.
I have great expertise in the OCR GCSE and A Level Classics specification, as I have been an examiner for OCR Classics specs since 2016. I have abundant experience in helping pupils to do what is exactly required of them in the exams, and also providing inside tips so that they can be as efficient as possible in their preparation for the exams.
I have also been an instructor of Classics subjects to groups of adult learners at the Universities of Oxford and Birmingham.

I am a Qualified Teacher, holding a BA in Classics, and a Master and PhD from Oxford University. I teach Latin, Greek, Classical Civilisation and Ancient History up to A Level. I can further provide help with applications to Oxbridge, Russel Group and other universities, based on my professional knowledge and own experience.
I produce and distribute my own notes and exercises to my tutees, taking into consideration resources and textbooks recommended by the Association of Classics Teachers and Classics examination boards.
Depending on the subject, the material we cover during lessons may include:
-grammar, syntax, translation of passages and exercises (Latin and Greek)
-literary and historical analysis of well-known works of antiquity, discussion on individual authors and their writing techniques (Ancient History, Classical Civilisation).
