About Harper
My name is Harper, and I am a dedicated, enthusiastic teacher (and student) who has just graduated from studying History of Art at Cambridge University, and will be beginning a masters course in at Goldsmiths in London in September. I have over three years tutoring experience, working freelance, as well as for two years with Penny White tuition. In the past I have largely focused on 11+ English/Comprehension and Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning help. I also have experience in helping secondary English and a range of humanities subjects up to GCSE level, and am really keen to help with A Level students.

My lessons typically span 1-2 hours (depending on the age and requirements of the student) and generally begin with a starter activity or quick-fire recounts of previous topics. The main focus of the lesson can be anything from homework/classwork help, to essay writing, creative writing challenges, practice papers, textual analysis or close reading and discussion of literature.
I have over three years tutoring experience, working freelance, as well as for two years with Penny White tuition in West London. In the past I have largely focused on 11+ English/Comprehension and Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning help. I also have experience in helping secondary English and a range of humanities subjects up to GCSE level, and am really keen to help with A Level students.
I am happy to focus on exam preparation, and am keen to help with timings, structures, and understanding up to A level, which I know can be a difficulty for lots of students. With younger pupils, I similarly am experienced in exam preparation, but also with more specific focus on comprehension and understanding of texts and English - including working with students who are bilingual and find this less straightforward.
