I believe and practice only one methodology while learning. I learn through real life scenarios it helped a lot to remember and understand better . Learning a language comes first in this way of learning. This way you need not worry about forgetting words , cuz you can relate to the situation well rather than mugging up the meanings of numerous words. I prefer to teach my students the same.
