I am currently doing my postgraduate studies in Education. I have had two years of experience in the world of education and tutoring. I feel as though being a recent UCT graduate and an IBO graduate I have a lot of guidance and knowledge to share.

My teaching philosophy is to firstly build and maintain a positive educational relationship with the student (s) - always conducting myself with respect, consideration and kindness. Furthermore, having an open mind; being supportive and encouraging is of utmost importance.
In terms of lesson structure, I like to start off with the student telling me the needed areas for extra help and tuition. This allows for the student to not only take part in self-reflection but also it shows interest in the lesson itself and will be most beneficial. The lesson will always be a guide, not the "straight up" answers. Personally, through guidance, the student learns more and can gain confidence and security within their work.
