About Shannon
Shannon here, I am a recent medical school graduate from an accredited medical school. I have rotated through every medical specialty and have a broad knowledge base. My specialties are math, science (chemistry, biology, anatomy), reading, writing, and test/college prep. In the medical field, my specialties are anatomy, pathology, histology, psychiatry, heme/onc, ob/gyn and family medicine. I am a very kindhearted and motivated person who loves to give back to the community. I graduated second in my class in high school and first in my class from college where I obtained a B.S degree in biochemistry. I then worked in plastic surgery and dermatology for a few years before entering medical school. Furthermore, I headed, organized and coordinated the Big Little Mentoring Program in my first two years of medical school. Additionally, I am extremely well-versed in college and test prep (SAT, ACT, MCAT, COMLEX, USMLE). I also have experience with tutoring in early childhood education and I would love to tutor your kids and help their young minds grow! At this point in my academic career, I would consider myself a professional learner. I am a very professional person and I like to keep a tight schedule because I am still a student myself. However, I am very understanding that things come up or students panic right before a test... With that being said, all I ask from you is for a heads up within a reasonable amount of time before our scheduled session. I don't like to charge for no shows, but I will if I have to. I am very easygoing and have a good ability to adapt to many different situations and students. I genuinely love to learn and develop connections with my clients. I enjoy helping others and making their day a little brighter. I hope you consider me for your learning needs.

Hi there, I have experience tutoring children ages 5, 7 (so early childhood education and fundamentals of reading) up through the college level of analytical reading and writing. Test prep is included in this too.
My first lesson, I usually try to get to know my student and build a welcoming relationship with them. Towards the end of the first session, will get into expectations for our sessions and what our future goals are. From there, we will spend the remaining time starting to review content.
I would prefer we tutor virtually because that is how I am most flexible. However, I am open to doing in person tutoring sessions depending on the age of the student. I would also prefer public meeting places. I am currently located in Orlando. There will be an additional charge for in-person tutoring.

Shannon is a great tutor who knows how to explain in a way that my daughter understands chemistry better. She helps my daughter through Zoom and emails the notes about what they worked on after each session. She is flexible with scheduling and accommodated us and our crazy schedule. We appreciate all she does! Thanks Shannon:)
Shannon is an amazing biology teacher. I recently took an online tutoring session with her and got a 100% on my test.
Shannon tutored my son and she was great. She got him to make great strides with reading. Shannon also treated my son with such kindness, she became one of his favorite people. I would highly recommend her.
I would highly recommend Shannon. She’s teaching my daughter how to read. I was referred to her by another parent, and I’m glad I reached out.
