About Chris
I have been teaching computer design for the past 19 years. During that time, I published two books on how to integrate technology in the classroom. I became a Google Certified Innovator in 2009, which is highly competitive and rewarding. This certification allowed me to present at Google Education Summits throughout Colorado for the past 10 years. Learning new tools and applications is something I do on a regular basis. Creating digital lessons is one of my passions. It is incredibly rewarding to make lessons that will maximize learning and student engagement. My lessons incorporate visual and information literacy. The lessons are hands-on so students can create digital products that are attractive with quality information. For instance, my students made Google sites that could be an imaginary country, business or museum. I have also had students make digital portfolios to showcase their work. I tap into creativity with the majority of my lessons. Students learned how to create digital art and then they created an animation using Google Slides. I have had students choose a career path based on what they learned in my class.
