About Tiffany

As a mom of 2 beautiful boys and an experienced Educational Assistant, supporting students on their Academic Journey and watching them grow is a true passion of mine. I specialize in working with children with special needs, however I have a wide range of educational tips and tricks to help nurture the natural and unique potential in every young learner. I can work with students aged K-8 in all subject areas and will accommodate any and all diverse academic, social, physical and emotional abilities with individualized lesson plans.
I received my Educational Assistant Diploma from Conestoga College in 2015, after formerly completing an Early Childhood Educator Apprenticeship. I later went on to work as an E.A. at The Waterloo Catholic District School Board. I also worked as a Peer Tutor for Special Education Students at Conestoga College, at the post secondary level. Since then, I've received training to become a Neuro-Educational Therapist, while providing Educational Therapy to ADD/ADHD and ASD students 1:1 in-person and remotely. Most recently, I have been teaching in a Montessori Preschool, implementing safe and engaging daily learning opportunities. Moreover, I have over 7 years of Private Tutoring experience.
If given the opportunity, I would contribute to your Child’s Educational team, as a collaborative team player within your family and child’s school, as well as a compassionate, creative and accommodating advocate for your child!

All of my accumulated education and experience has led me to form the notion that a lesson plan is an extremely delicate, unique working template that should be designed for each student. Under the theories of Universal Design for learning, and Differentiated Instruction; I will get to know each student, including their academic level, interests, specific abilities and needs, while forming a positive rapport, and build their lesson plans from there. I can support students' academic success, as well as social, emotional, daily living or executive functioning skills.
I also utilize systems such as PECS, zones of regulation, and some adaptive technology. I will work in accordance with any and all working documents, such as I.E.P’s, O.S.R.’s, Safety Plans, F.B.A’s; and work in collaboration with parents and teachers/other specialists where applicable.
