About Areesha
I am Areesha, a Computer Science engineer and current postgraduate student at RMIT University in Melbourne, where I am completing my Master of Cybersecurity. I graduated with an 8.69 GPA, placing me in the top tier of my cohort, and have maintained a strong academic record throughout my studies across three countries: India, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
My academic background spans Mathematics, Sciences, and English, and I bring both subject-matter depth and genuine enthusiasm for teaching to every session. I know what it takes to perform at a high level under pressure, and I understand the specific challenges students face. Whether that is building confidence in a subject they find difficult, developing exam technique, or simply finding a way to make a concept finally make sense.
I am patient, well-prepared, and student-focused. I tailor every session to the individual in front of me rather than following a one-size-fits-all script. My students can expect clear explanations, honest feedback, and a tutor who genuinely invests in their progress.
Beyond my academic credentials, I have published peer-reviewed research at international conferences and led teams in national-level competitions (Hackathons). These experiences have sharpened my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and accessibly, which is exactly what good tutoring requires.
I am available for both in-person sessions across Melbourne and online tutoring for students anywhere in Australia, and I am flexible with scheduling to accommodate school and exam timetables.

My teaching philosophy is simple: understanding first, memorization never. Because that is how I believe education should be. Before diving into content, I always spend the first part of a session identifying exactly where a student is getting stuck. Not just what topic they're on, but why it isn't clicking. From there, every session is built around that specific gap.
For Math, I work through problems step-by-step with students rather than just showing them the answer. I ask a lot of "why does this work?" questions because students who understand the reasoning behind a method can handle any exam variation, not just the ones they've practiced.
For Sciences, I connect theory to real-world examples wherever possible. Abstract concepts stick far better when a student can picture what's actually happening.
For English, I focus heavily on structure and argumentation, essay technique, unpacking prompts, and building a clear line of reasoning. These are skills that transfer across every subject and exam.
Lessons are typically 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the student's needs and concentration span. I'm flexible and happy to adjust session length as we go.
I hold a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science with an 8.69 GPA, and I am currently completing a Master of Cybersecurity at RMIT University, Melbourne. I have mentored and supported peers throughout my academic career across three countries, and I bring that same cross-cultural patience and adaptability to every tutoring session.
My lessons are designed for students preparing for VCE or working to strengthen their foundations in Math (including Math Methods and General Math), Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Biology), and English. I work with students at all levels, whether they're aiming to push from a B to an A or simply trying to pass with confidence.
