About Fred
As well as teaching, I am a performer and record producer. I was trained in jazz piano at the Royal Academy of Music, and have used this knowledge in Jazz and Theory to expand my musical palette, and I write and produce music in lots of different genres. Professionalism has always been important to me, and my lessons foster an environment where the student feels their questions heard, and well addressed. Music can be confusing! So I am extremely experienced in boiling down complex concepts and making them simple and digestible, so they stick and show up in your playing.

Teaching intermediate and beginner Jazz Pianists of all ages, including advanced Classical pianists who want to delve into Jazz. I myself was classically trained, so I understand how mind-boggling starting out in jazz can be, and this means the way I explain things is simple, concise, and I often find my students improve in as short as one lesson. I've been teaching pupils of all ages and abilities now for 5 years, and the teacher-student relationship is something I prioritise - I've always placed emphasis on the impact a great teacher can have, and I intend to be that for you.
