About Lauren
I am currently a student at the University of Exeter, going into my fourth and final year of studying Russian language. I spent my third year studying abroad in St Petersburg where I was able to hone my Russian skills to a B2 level, and improve not only by language but my cultural awareness. Whilst I do not have much experience in teaching, as an English student who learnt Russian I have a very good awareness of the best language learning techniques (having had to use them myself) and can offer a teaching standard learnt first-hand from world class Russian university professors.

My teaching method is aimed at teaching those at a beginners level of Russian/people with no previous knowledge of the Russian language. My lesson structure would be adapted to each individual student, depending on their language level. I would start by teaching the Cyrillic alphabet (both typed and handwritten) and then move onto basic/ conversational phrases. Once a solid amount of vocabulary has been learnt, I would focus on grammar structures and rules to build a good foundation for my students to improve on. I would aim to provide not only speaking practice, but reading and writing practice through reading through passages of text and practicing sentence writing.
