About Katie
With 15 years of dancing and acting training and over 5 years of teaching experience in musical theater styles, I understand that confidence is one of the most important skills for a performer to master. My main goal with each lesson is to provide students with the tools to improve their craft in a safe and healthy way by speaking with them about their unique strengths and creating understanding surrounding areas they are hoping to improve.

By understanding your specific goals as an actor, we will spend time developing a warm up and exercises that you can easily replicate in your own practice. Actors will also have the opportunity to learn a short monologue unique to their personality and skillset. Through work on this monologue, performers will learn methods of script analysis and characterization. As a bonus, students are encouraged to film the monologue as a self-tape. Not only could this be new material to send in for your next audition, but will also allow for additional feedback from the instructor.
In my lessons, I emphasize professionalism and understanding. It is extremely important to me that you leave your lesson feeling encouraged and uplifted!
