About Elise
I have a BA degree in Chemical Biology from Case Western Reserve University. I was a member of Alpha Chi Sigma, a professional chemistry fraternity. I spent four years as a graduate student in a pharmacology program conducting neuroscience research, before moving on to be a neuroscience research technician at a well-reputed North Carolina university. I am actively involved in teaching in my role as research technician, as I manage a collection of microscopes and I am responsible for training new users on each microscope.

I individualize my lesson plans to my students. I'll get to know you first, and what you need help with the most. I'll review class worksheets, homework assignments, or practice exams with you depending on your needs. Got specific questions already? Great! Not sure where to start? That's okay too! I make sure to explain concepts and problem solving in a clear and concise way so you can truly understand and master the material. I'm a visual and hands-on learner myself, so I reach for drawing on a whiteboard to help explain concepts. I have experience with all ages, but I have the most experience teaching high school and early college.
