About Lauren
After graduating from Temple University with a degree in Film and Media Arts and a certificate in Creative Writing, I have spent the past 10+ years working in various sides of the entertainment industry. I worked at a boutique talent agency in the TV + Motion Picture Literary Department, aka the department that represents writers, directors, and producers, for two years. After, I found myself working in development at a major TV studio for five years, where I worked on legacy shows with household names. Currently, I am a Creative Executive working for a well-known actor and comedian, helping to develop and write various TV and feature projects. I also have experience as a script reader for Women in Film and Black List Fellowships. I am confident in my ability to deliver thoughtful, inspiring notes and advice for anyone looking to hone their craft.

Each lesson will be tailored to your needs, whether it's discussing plot structure, loglines, market viability, or honing your pitch. Great for film students working on a screenwriting thesis, amateur writers and hobbyists, or more serious writers looking for advice ahead of queries, competitions, pitches, etc. Ahead of the lesson, if applicable, you'll send a script, outline, or other related materials so I can look at it beforehand. Each lesson includes up to ten pages of complimentary reading from my end. I promise this is enough to get the ball rolling, as executives and producers will know immediately if a script is viable and professional. At the end of each lesson, I'll follow up with supplementary recommendations (books, scripts, films) that I believe will be beneficial to you, though this is not mandatory to continue the tutoring process.
Due to legal reasons, I cannot pass your script along to managers, lawyers, agents, producers, etc., nor can I secure you funding or development deals.
