As an English Tutor, my approach focuses on fostering a deep understanding of the subject matter, critical thinking, and empowering students to become independent learners. I view myself as a guide who provides support and guidance while encouraging students to take an active role in their own learning.

Lesson Plan
Introduction: Explain the lesson's objectives and how they relate to the broader curriculum or students' goals.

Concept Presentation: I use visual aids to explain the core concepts to make complex ideas more accessible.

Interactive Activities: I ensure students engage in activities such as discussions, problem-solving, or hands-on exercises that allow them to apply the concepts they've just learned.

Group or Individual Work (15 minutes): I give students assignments or projects that reinforce the lesson's key points while I allow them to approach me to answer questions and give guidance where possible. I

Review and Discussion (10 minutes): We recap the lesson, and students can ask questions or seek clarification.

Homework and Self-Study as and when needed: I provide assignments and resources for further self-study, allowing students to deepen their understanding and work independently.

What Set Me Apart
I adopt a personalized approach to teaching, by linking my teaching to the individual needs and learning styles of my students. I do not believe one-size-fits-all applies in education, and I strive to create a tailored learning experience.

As stated above, I emphasize the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills. My teaching goal is not just to impart knowledge but to equip students with the tools to become self-reliant learners.

Through research and analysis, I ensure my teaching inculcates real-world relevance by bridging the gap between theory and practice, and indicating to students how what they are learning is applicable in their lives or careers.

I ensure Assessment by prioritizing formative assessment to track progress and provide ongoing feedback. This allows me to address promptly areas where students may be struggling.

My lessons are typically designed for senior high school students, and undergraduate and graduate students pursuing degrees in social sciences, humanities, business, or related disciplines. However, I can adapt my teaching to a variety of educational levels and backgrounds, as my approach is highly adaptable and student-centered.

Whether working with traditional students, adult learners, or those with specific needs, I strive to create an engaging and effective learning experience.
