About Isobel
I am a second year A Level student in Spanish, Psychology and Biology at Greenhead college. I have previously mentored both Psychology and Spanish students in my year group and have worked as a volunteer with GirlGuiding so am great with adapting to the needs of different children while learning. Next year I am taking a gap year volunteering in South America, making Spanish a very relevant subject to me and my goals, and beyond that I aim to complete a paediatric nursing degree.

My focus would vary depending on the needs of the student, as different aspects of the course can challenge different people; as a student I understand this myself. I have previously only mentored students in my own year group, where my method was to explain any topics they struggled with and then go on to do question and answer sessions, testing their basic understanding. Beyond this I would advise as to the best revision methods for the student and suggest some useful resources. Should I become a tutor I would also provide resources and activities to practice a particular aspect of the subject, splitting up each grammar tense, each cultural topic and each skill such as listening, reading or speaking into separate sessions, to hone each skill.
