About Diya
I am a med student currently and I love teaching! When I was in school, I found board work very difficult to understand. I felt isolated and alone because I didn’t think I had anyone to turn to. I love working with my students to find their idea way of understanding and tailor lessons specifically to them. Seeing the lightbulb go off in their mind is the most magical feeling in the world. It’s a feeling that no matter how busy my schedules may get, that I can’t let go of. I promise I will always make time for yourchild and will try my very best to make learning fun and light as many lightbulbs as possible

My motto has always been“understand not memorise”.Even subjects that seem memory heavy can be understood. With younger kids, I focus on creating a strong robust foundation upon which future knowledge can be built.
Each lesson - 1 hour
I have lots of resources like past papers and booklets with practice questions. I usually have a free meeting with parents and kids to find out what the student struggles with the most. I find this is an effective way to understand your goals and begin to build a relationship with the student (through my experience, students learn better when they are comfortable around who is teaching them)
Over my 3 years of experience I have had over 50 students and done well over 1500 hours of tutoring
