About Oskar
Hi, my name is Oskar. I initially went to Japan in the autumn of 2019 to work a winter season in Hakuba snowboarding. Whilst I was over there I realised I did not want to come back once the season had finished and decided to become an English teacher as I had plenty of teaching experience in the past. This was a great decision and I recommend anyone to try it as I had so much fun. I taught children aged from 10-16 as well as private adult sessions (ii kaiwa) twice a week in two-hour sessions. I hope to talk to you more about my experiences and potentially our similar experiences in Japan.

Whilst living in Japan for the two years pre-pandemic, I taught a very wide age range of groups for my English classes. This gave me great ideas for how to be more creative when teaching a language. I was also initially self-taught and now study Japanese at university I can combine the best of both methods to find the most effective and fun for beginner students. I am very enthusiastic about teaching Japanese and hope you are eager to learn as well.
