About Evie
Being a student, starting off at university, i gained understanding that i developed a need to help others achieve academically through friends and my peers who always give positive feedback on my simplistic approach to explaining which allows even a harsher topic to be condensed into something easier to grasp. Law at college seems almost imprinted on my brain with every task given and assessment taken which gives me full confidence that i can deliver lessons which are not only extremely beneficial but enjoyable, so every student i teach wants to study the things i offer help with. Top grades have always been my academic goal and i found techniques that worked to achieve this, making me want to share them with someone who might need a slight push.

As someone who recently left college education with an A* in all my subjects (Law, Sociology and Criminology), it is my priority to focus my tutoring on the style of writing preferred by a certain exam board. Lessons can vary from 1 hour and 30 minutes to 2 hours. They will emphasise the importance of the IDEAL structure in writing higher mark answers. To begin, generalised legal points will be covered for 5-mark questions which cover the basis of civil and criminal law. Civil and Criminal law will be alternated on a weekly basis.
Lecture slides will be provided via email to do independent studying after our session or for re-cap. Typically, i will teach content, provide examples of types of questions surrounding a topic, give example answers, work through a question together then trying individually. Any techniques preferred for studying will be taken into account and therefore lessons will be altered to provide the most efficient style of learning for you.
