I am a semi-retired teacher and businessman. I hold a degree in Applied Chemistry from the University of Hertfordshire and a PGCE from Cambridge University.
I taught Science and A-level for a number of years and have since run my own business in high technology optical, laser and software products, set up European offices for US software companies and, more recently, held a fixed-term consultancy contract with a UK computer games company.
Over the last few years I have taken a number of part-time, long term supply roles, teaching science at local secondary and grammar schools and SEN at a highly successful special needs school in Lincolnshire. I have also worked with a number of UK universites.
As a highly experienced educator and businessman I have strong technical skills and a sound and balanced view of the world of academia and business. I can offer a range of education from science at GCSE, Chemistry and Physics at A-level, IT, lifeskills, ASDAN and business studies. My major strength is the ability to put what I teach into context and apply it to "real life" situations.
