About Jane
A flexible, invested teacher, I have studied piano since childhood with highly trained, professional musicians. I have helped many students learn to play and improve their sound.
I really enjoy supporting students as they develop as musicians and become confident and find their own style. I love learning with big strokes first to get the big picture and then filling in the gaps when we can really see where they are!

Send me recordings of yourself playing whenever you have the time. I will respond with written or recorded feedback specifically identifying what you need to do to move through your challenges and play with joy and confidence.
Play real pieces from your very first lesson. Learn music theory but focus on playing songs and feeling to confident to play with or without sheet music. Starting from a place of confidence and building incrementally will mean you can play with enjoyment and confidence not just concentration!
I have studied up to AMEB Grade 8 level and helped many students, including those with special needs and different learning styles, to play music with joy and proficiency!

Jane is a very skilled pianist, is patient, but what I really loved when I learnt to play was how fun it was. Jane not only brings to the table a ‘piano lesson’, She brings her joyous attitude into her teaching making it ever enjoyable and something you will look forward to. Being a friend of Janes for many years, I have seen her work with young and old ones with all different personalities and skills.
