About Sean
I am an undergraduate Computer Science student at UCSC with senior standing and a GPA of 3.88/4.00. I also have experience in competitive programming and software engineering. The topics which I can teach include Compiler Design, Computer Systems, Computer Architecture, Deep Learning (and other AI topics), Competitive Programming (including USACO), Software Development, and programming languages including C, C++, Java, and Python.

I typically teach students first by introducing key concepts/definitions, followed by several examples that I work through, and finally by giving my students several exercises that increase in difficulty while giving them guidance whenever they get stuck.
I have found that observing my students as they begin to solve a problem with a newly learned topic allows me to determine which aspects they truly understand, and which aspects they are only copying from examples without knowing how they work.
From there, I give detailed instruction that teaches a deep understanding of how the topics and subtopics my students are finding difficult work.
My lessons are for undergraduate computer science students in their first two-three years of study and for high school students interested in computer science and programming (including competitive programming such as USACO).
I am especially qualified to teach students on topics in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence having taken several AI courses including one specializing in Deep Learning using Python.
I can also teach students the programming languages of C, C++, Java, Python, and JavaScript and anything typically required for a B.S. in Computer Science (Algorithms, Data Structures, Computer Systems, Computer Architecture, Compiler Design, etc).
