About Shannon
Hi, I'm Shannon — a Life Sciences professional and tutor based in Mumbai.
I hold an MSc in Life Sciences (Applied Medical Sciences) from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, where I also completed an independent research thesis in phytochemistry and antimicrobial science. After graduating, I spent over two years in pharmaceutical medical education, managing projects for global clients including GSK, Sun Pharma, and Abbott — which means I bring real industry context to everything I teach.
More recently, I designed and delivered Bioethics lectures for postgraduate students at Sophia College, covering topics like informed consent, research ethics, and genetic technologies. That experience taught me how to make complex, nuanced ideas genuinely accessible — and I bring that same approach to every tutoring session.
I believe good teaching isn't about talking at someone — it's about figuring out where they're stuck and finding the explanation that makes it click. Whether you're preparing for exams, working through a tough concept, or need a thinking partner for your dissertation, I'm here to help.
Outside of science, I've written for science communication platforms, interned as a journalist, and even narrated a medical video for GSK — so I'm used to breaking down complex ideas for different audiences.
