About Sol
I have been working as a singer and songwriter for 20 years. I have been with Sony Music Colombia, Univision Records, USA and right now I am signed with La Cúpula Music (Barcelona) and Cosmica Artists (USA). I have worked as an actress-singer for Caracol TV and I have performed in musicals directed by well-known professionals in Colombia such as Jorge Alí Triana or Laura Villegas. I have been based in Barcelona for 4 years and I have been working as a singing teacher-vocal coach for the same time, at the Shine Music School facilities.

My classes are quite practical, from the experience I have in the professional world of music, I have realized what really works when trying to evolve with the voice. I do not believe in techniques that only give scientific explanations to the operation of the voice. For me singing is learned by singing along to the piano in a conscious exercise of repeating notes to achieve perfect tuning and intuitive harmonic understanding when you use several notes at the same time. I work my breathing with exercises that I have implemented for years to achieve singing forcefully and without damaging the strings. My class is divided into three parts: physical relaxation (5 to 10 minutes), practical technique (25 to 20 minutes) and repertoire (30 minutes). It amuses me a lot to accompany my students to the piano, in this way it is an exercise that also feeds on the pleasure of singing, as it takes a lot of practice to achieve a real evolution and for me it is fundamental that the student is motivated by the same music and thus be able to accompany him in his learning.
