About Elinor
I’m a singing tutor with 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Vocal Performance. My students come from all walks of life—middle school beginners, college music students, and seasoned professionals preparing for the stage. I specialize in musical theater and Broadway, where singing is just as much about telling a story as hitting the right notes. We work on belt technique, stage presence, and vocal agility so you can make seamless transitions between characters. I also teach character acting through song to help you connect with your audience on a deeper level. Ear training, harmony, improvisation, and music theory are built into every lesson, so you develop as a complete musician. I believe in nurturing every voice with safe techniques that ensure vocal health. Lessons are interactive and encouraging, designed to help you grow in skill and confidence. My approach is designed to prepare you for both technical skill and stage performance. I work with The Soloist in Training and The Adult Beginner to help each singer find their voice.
Breath control, vocal resonance, and projection form the foundation of our work. These keep your voice strong and safe. Tone shaping brings variety and feeling to your sound. I guide you through mastering belting, head voice, and mixed voice so you can sing any style.
Every lesson is active and personalized. We’ll use agility drills to help you switch between notes and styles quickly. I focus on both precision and expression.
Confidence is a huge part of singing well. That’s why I encourage risk-taking in a supportive space. By the end of our work together, your voice will be ready for the stage.
