About Autumn
I am a social scientist with a PhD in Psychology, with experience in psychology, statistics, research methods, and academic writing. I have taught statistics, the psychology of gender, and upper-level research courses.
Throughout my academic and teaching experience, I have worked with students at a range of levels to support their understanding of challenging material. I am comfortable across a broad range of psychology and statistics topics, as well as supporting students with essays, reports, and research projects.
I bring a structured, careful, and collaborative approach to tutoring, with an emphasis on clarity, rigor, and student understanding. My goal is to provide reliable, high-quality academic support that helps students build both competence and confidence in their work.

First, I take time to understand your goals and where you’re getting stuck. It’s important to identify what you already know and where you want to go next so that our work is focused and efficient.
From there, I design a lesson plan that breaks the topic or skill into clear, manageable steps. Each session builds on the previous one so you develop a strong foundation and move toward deeper understanding over time. I emphasize active problem-solving and guided practice so you’re not just learning concepts, but learning how to apply them.
My approach is especially well-suited for high school and college students taking psychology or statistics courses, as well as anyone needing support with academic writing or research methods. I also work well with students who feel stuck or overwhelmed and need help making material feel more structured and approachable.
