About Bruce
I have been teaching for 41 years. In those 41 years I have received honors from the state of Indiana and from several universities for excellence in the classroom. I have taught AP courses with a 90% pass rate and have prepared a large number of young people for success in higher education.

My lessons are most often centered around the close reading of primary and secondary text and the use of critical dialogue to gain a deeper understanding of the text. They encourage students to become engaged readers, critical thinkers, and to be able to support claims with evidence.
