About Keitumetse
Hi! I’m a Software Developer with a Bachelor’s degree and an Honours degree in Computer Science, and I enjoy helping others understand Maths, Coding and problem-solving in a practical and approachable way.
Although I am new to private tutoring, I bring strong academic foundations and real-world experience from working professionally in software development. My work requires me to solve problems, think logically, learn continuously and explain technical ideas clearly — skills that I also bring into my lessons.
I understand that Maths and Coding can sometimes feel intimidating, especially when a concept is not explained in a way that makes sense to you. My aim is to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working through challenges without pressure.
I don’t expect students to understand everything immediately. We work through problems together, identify where the confusion starts and build understanding step by step. I believe confidence comes through practice, and I want my students to leave each lesson feeling that they can tackle problems they previously found difficult.
I currently offer Maths tutoring for Grade 10 and Grade 11 learners, as well as Coding lessons for beginners who want to develop strong programming and problem-solving foundations.
Outside of work, I enjoy football, music, exploring new technology and AI, and working on coding projects. I enjoy learning new things myself, and I try to bring that same curiosity and energy into my lessons.
Lessons are taught in English, and I approach every student with patience, professionalism and a genuine commitment to helping them improve.

I believe the best way to learn Maths and Coding is by actively doing, experimenting and solving problems rather than simply memorising steps or watching someone else work through examples.
My lessons are collaborative, practical and relaxed. I want students to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and working through problems with me. My role is not just to give answers, but to help students understand how to think through a problem and eventually solve it independently.
As a Software Developer with a Bachelor's and Honours degree in Computer Science, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world problem-solving experience into my lessons. For coding students, this means learning not only how to write code, but also how to break problems down, debug mistakes and develop the logical thinking used by software developers every day.
A typical lesson usually starts with a quick check-in to identify what the student understands and where they are struggling. We then work through the concept together using simple examples before moving on to practical exercises. I encourage students to attempt problems themselves while I guide them with questions, hints and explanations when needed. We finish by reviewing what we learned and identifying anything that needs more practice.
For Maths, I offer lessons aimed primarily at Grade 10 and Grade 11 students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve their problem-solving skills, prepare for tests or simply become more confident with the subject.
For Coding, my lessons are suitable for beginners and students who are learning programming and want to build a strong foundation in areas such as programming logic, problem-solving and writing clean, understandable code. No previous programming experience is required for beginner lessons.
My teaching style is friendly, patient and interactive. I try to make lessons enjoyable while still making sure that students are challenged and actively participating rather than simply listening.
I am able to teach lessons in English. However, I can speak Tswana, Sotho, and Zulu.
