About Lynden
I have over 10 years experience working as a software engineer, I love understanding things thoroughly and I especially love helping others to understand things that they're struggling with. I work hard to rephrase things in terms you can understand, while still making sure you understand the deeper concepts. I also have a current Working With Children Check. My main language is C++, but I have experience with many other languages and am comfortable tutoring whatever language you might be trying to learn.

I hope you and your son remember that when someone is new to programming or is learning a new programming language, it's very normal for things to feel completely illogical or meaningless, until suddenly much of it clicks into place all at once. After that point, learning new bits seems a lot more doable.
The only way to get to that point is to keep practicing!

Really knowledgeable and experienced in C++, both the modern stuff and with legacy code.
Was known as the an expert in C++ when we were working together. He is quick to understand the code and is good at troubleshooting problems. Which are valuable skills you can only gain with experience.

Lynden is an excellent teacher in my experience and actually ensures you have a strong base to fully understand and not just give a surface level answer to the question. He is extremely well versed in the field, to the point he can even help with other languages to a degree due to his understanding of his field.

Details
The pricing reflects dedicated 1-on-1 tutoring time, and is inclusive of a reasonable amount of preparation time - reading materials you provide, familiarising myself with the specifics of what you're trying to get help with, etc.
Having said that, you'll get more out of each session if you're also prepared!
If you're not able to afford my listed rate, please suggest an amount you're comfortable with! I tutor because I genuinely enjoy it, so I'm likely to accept your offer as long as I have the time.
Note: I will also answer any text based questions for free on a best-effort basis.
