About Erick
As a Fall '17 Graduate from Ball State University, I student taught from Aug. - Dec. Spanish levels 1-2. While student teaching, I tutored several of my students, one, in particular, was able to improve her grade in Spanish 2 from a low D to a semester grade of B. Previously (Spring '16), I was a Teacher Assistant (T.A.) in a Spanish 301 - Conversations course at Ball State. I have individually tutored 1 high school aged student (outside my student teaching semester) while attending Ball State.
I was also a Spanish substitute teacher at Monroe Central Jr/Sr High School in Parker City, IN. I filled in for the Spanish teacher there while she was on maternity leave.

My degree is in secondary education, I work best with high school students but have some experience with middle school students. I like to immerse my students in the language as much as I can by providing relevant authentic resources. I also try my best to work with student's learning style and will present the material in different ways to adapt to these learning styles.
