About Jami

I have taught Spanish for 24 years. I was a contributing writer of the Spanish one and two curriculum for an ISD. I tutor students and love to see their skills and motivation increase while they also improve their grades and competencies. I work to meet the learning needs of my students. Together we work to help you create a proficiency in all the skills-reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

About the lesson

I work to build the language as a skill not a class. Yes, you will learn grammar but it will have a purpose in the context of meaningful vocabulary and language.Step by step learn Spanish. If you are in a class, I will support your lessons and give you opportunities to dig deep and build a deeper connection. We will cover all skills from reading, writing, listening, and speaking. We will work with meaningful topics, scenarios, and concepts to help you develop a skill to use in real world scenarios.

Jami is an excellent tutor. My daughter was struggling with Spanish and was nervous about getting a tutor. Jami was recommended to us and she immediately put my daughter at ease. Jami is positive, friendly and very patient. She knows how to teach Spanish in a way that my daughter who is dyslexic and ADHD was able to understand. My daughter’s Spanish grade improved a lot because of Jami. I highly recommend Jami Dixon as a tutor, she is an amazing teacher.
