About Peter
I am a lover of languages, music, teaching and meditation who has spent the last 6 years teaching and tutoring Spanish to a number of students ranging from beginner to advanced. Beyond the 10 years I spent studying Spanish, I grew up with the language in my home, I lived in Madrid, Spain, and love to use Spanish in the real world whenever I can. I adore the way that languages open us up to new connections with people we may not have been able to reach before. My skills and experience can help you get more comfortable and confident to get out there and communicate!

My focus in teaching is on the real use of the language. When our brains associate the new language with an actual exchange of information, we learn faster than when we are simply memorizing flash cards. Yes, building vocabulary is a necessary first step, but I encourage students to begin putting that vocabulary to use in creative ways as soon as possible!
