About Gui
I’m a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with years of experience teaching foreigners since high school through a community program back in my hometown of Rio de Janeiro.
I combine professionalism with a relaxed, engaging approach, creating a safe space where students feel confident to speak and make mistakes. With a background in music, especially samba and bossa nova, I bring rhythm and culture into every lesson, helping you learn naturally and stay motivated.
My classes are structured, personalized, and focused on real communication, so you can build practical skills while also understanding Brazilian culture and social nuances.

Oi! I’m Gui, a native Brazilian Portuguese speaker based in Vancouver, and I’m here to help you actually speak Portuguese — not just memorize it.
I’ve been teaching Portuguese to foreigners since high school through a community program, and over the years I’ve developed a teaching style that’s dynamic, intuitive, and focused on real-life communication.
